You know, I almost wish for the day when viruses just infected your computer, you ran your antivirus program and they just went away.  Like, when you could almost chuckle at the silliness of the virus programmers. 

It’s not like that anymore.  You can’t just be smug and think “how cute” anymore.  It’s harder to find antivirus programs that actually work.  They’re harder to get rid of now, and they try to trick you into giving up your money.  It’s gone from prank to fraud, especially with Antivirus 2008 and those others. 

When did they cross the line?  I guess it was when that whole SpySheriff thing came out.  I caught that once, so I guess I knew what was coming with Antivirus 2008.  That is, I was skeptical when that window popped up and told me that I was infected…
