Successfully Exterminate Pest Sweeper

Pest Sweeper is the newest and hottest invention in the world of evil spyware tactics.  Honestly, there is not much different about this program except its name when compared to other programs.  Nothing stands out as particularly clever about this scam, but nonetheless, it is extremely dangerous.  The bottom line is that people still buy into this program and suffer because of it.  Pest Sweeper, is the latest rogue anti-spyware program that comes from the same family as SpywareScanner 2008.

The PestSweeper mission:

The bottom line is that the program wants you to take your money to the bank.  They will promise to give you an anti-spyware program that will be updated daily and protect you from any harmful malware that comes your way.  If you read between the lines, what they are actually saying is that they will download a harmful program that steals all of your information and sells it to 3rd parties.  These parties will rape your bank accounts, steal your identity, run your credit through the roof, and try to sell you anything that you might display an inkling of interest in through use of the Web.  The software you download will not do anything to your computer except give you false and exaggerated positives.

How does pestsweeper infect your computer?

It probably seems obvious that you shouldn't even think about downloading this program.  There are a few people that may be duped by the name sounding familiar to real anti-spyware programs.  This is not the usual cause of infection.  In most cases, the program is downloaded without permission through a Trojan Zlob, virus, or malicious software.

It will download 35 or more files onto your computer when the program is executed, which  will run as soon as you open up Windows.  It is compatible with any Windows system.  It will continue to download updated files without consent or notice.

What symptoms should you look for?

The program may come on silently at first with no real signs.  You might first notice computer freezes or that your computer is running really slow due to the program running in the background at all times, monitoring your information.  Your home page may get reconfigured.  You will find new toolbars and search bars added without your permission.  You will probably know for sure that you have been hit by Pest Sweeper when you continue to receive risk alerts that are intended to set you in panic mode to purchase the software.

How can you remove it?

It can be manually removed, but make sure that you set aside an afternoon to research all the latest removal updates, and BE CAREFUL!  You may inadvertently delete much-needed files in your system.  I have long been an advocate of getting help, whether it be from someone that is knowledgeable about computers or just a reputable anti-spyware program.

What should you do in the future?

Save time and money and research a company with proven statistics of effective software programs.  There are reputable companies that will offer a 100% guarantee of removal within 24 hours.  These programs are worth the time and money you will save in the future.
