Why You Shouldn't Download XP Security Center

If you ever have a pop-up window that says something like:

"Welcome to the installer! This program will download and install XP Security Center on your PC. By clicking the continue button you are accepting our Terms and Conditions--then beware!"

You should kill your internet connection immediately!

Seriously, if that message shows up, you don't know what might be trying to get into your computer without permission. Why?

XP security center is a type of fraudware that will use false security alerts to trick you into buying its "registered" version for about fifty dollars. And if you've come across a location that has it, there's no telling what else might be around that's just trying to find a way in through your browser!

Close the window that took you to the infected place, then get online and find some damn good spyware to get rid of XP Security Center!
